When was the first franchise established?
SumoSalad granted its first franchise in October 2004.
What are we looking for in a SumoSalad Franchisee?
We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated by success who can add to the strength of our brand. Experience in the food industry isn’t essential as we provide thorough training. You need to eat the product and be passionate about our culture. You must be prepared to work hard to achieve our goals. It is essential that our franchisees are customer focused and can lead their staff effectively.
How much does it cost to own a franchise?
Setup costs range from $350,000 to $400,000 plus GST, depending on whether it is a kiosk, in-line or café concept store.
What Training and support is provided for Franchisees?
We provide an extensive four week training program which includes business management (using the SumoSalad systems and business tools), product and presentation, local store marketing, inventory management and stock control, food hygiene and safety, labour management and setting of financial goals. We provide four weeks of internal and external training with a training manager closely reviewing your practical skills and providing extensive assistance.
What about ongoing training and support?
After your initial four weeks of training, you will receive ongoing support from Head Quarters. This includes but is not limited to seasonal product training, local store marketing guidance and any overall business assistance.
