How do I become a follower of the Sumo Society?
Just pick up a Sumo Society card from any of our participating stores across Australia and you're ready to start earning Sumo dollars. You'll need to activate your card by first making a purchase then register online at www.sumosalad.com/register. Once you've registered your card you'll receive your 50% off salad voucher!
What are Sumo Dollars?
Sumo Dollars are the currency of the Sumo Society. It's an easy conversion too… 1 Sumo Dollar equals AUD$1.00 (one dollar)..
How do I earn Sumo Dollars?
Every time you make a purchase in any participating store, hand our Salad Artists your Sumo Society card for a quick swipe and your card will be loaded with the equivalent Sumo Dollars. Within 24hours of registering online you'll be able to start redeeming.
You can earn Sumo Dollars on any of our products – salads, long rolls, coffees, cold drinks, combos even catering so make sure you keep your card on you! And don't worry, if you don't spend $15 in one hit, you'll earn the equivalent Sumo Dollars for your purchase (i.e. you'll earn 0.66 Sumo Dollars for spending $9.95).
How do I redeem Sumo Dollars?
Once your card balance reaches 2.50 Sumo Dollars, you'll be able to use these to redeem any product within our stores – salads, long rolls, coffees, cold drinks, combos even catering however there is a minimum transaction value of $2.50. Don't forget that 1 Sumo Dollar equals AUD $1.00 (one dollar) so you can easily work out what you can spend your Sumo Dollars on in store – you just need to have enough of them!
Are there any conditions to the 50% off salad voucher once I register to become a follower?
The 50% discount applies to any of our fast deli salads or any salad from our favourite range in any size however excludes Design Your Own salads.
Once you've registered to become a Sumo Society follower online, you'll be emailed a voucher with this offer attached. You'll need to print the voucher off and bring it into any of our Australian stores within seven (7) days of registering along with your Sumo Society Card and valid ID.
What if I don't receive my 50% off salad voucher after I register?
To receive your 50% off salad voucher, on registering you need to select that you are happy to receive emails from SumoSalad. If you've ticked this box, it may take up to 24 hours for your registration to go through. If you didn't check this box, unfortunately by law we are unable to send it to you.
If after 24 hours you haven't received your voucher please check your junk mail and if it's not there, drop us an email to sumosociety@sumosalad.com and we'll look into it as quickly as we can.
What if I don't receive my free birthday salad?
To receive your free birthday salad, on registering you need to select that you are happy to receive emails from SumoSalad. If you've ticked this box, please check your junk mail and if it's not there, drop us an email to sumosociety@sumosalad.com. If you didn't check this box, unfortunately by law we are unable to send it to you.
Do I need to have my Sumo Society card with me to earn and redeem Sumo Dollars?
Yes, without your card you cannot earn or redeem Sumo Dollars.
How do I check my Sumo Society card balance?
There are a few options available to you:
- Visit www.sumosalad.com.au and log on to your account with your email address and password then click on the 'My card balance' tab. Here you'll find your transaction history along with your current card balance.
- Every time you make a purchase using your card, you'll receive a receipt with your card balance.
- You can ask one of our Salad Artists for an Account Balance in store.
Do I have to provide my email address to be a follower?
To register for the Sumo Society you are required to provide us with a valid email address however on completing the registration form, you can select not to receive emails from us. Without your email address, you'll miss out on receiving your 50% off Salad voucher for registering and free salad for your birthday along with other special offers and discounts from us.
Is there any other way to register other than online?
Unfortunately no as you need a valid email address to receive our exclusive offers and discounts along with your 50% off salad voucher for registering and free salad on your birthday..
What if I'm already a member of your online club?
Your existing username and password will allow you to log in to the Sumo Society follower section on our website. To become a full member of the Sumo Society and benefit from all our special offers and discounts, you'll need to collect a Sumo Society card from any participating store, log in using your existing details to the Sumo Society followers section on our website and click on the 'register my card' tab. This will ensure any previously saved 'design your own' salads and other details you've provided us in the past are not lost.
What happens if my card is lost or stolen?
Not to worry, you simply need to register a new card to your existing details online. Just pick up a new card from any of our participating stores (you'll need to make a purchase to activate the card), log on to the Sumo Society follower section of our website, click on the 'card replacement' tab and follow the prompts. Once you've done this, your card will be loaded with any Sumo Dollars that were on your lost or stolen card.
How do I update my details?
Quite easily, just log on to the Sumo Society follower section of our website, click on the 'update my details' tab and follow the prompts.
What happens to existing loyalty cards?
Sumo Society cards cannot be used in conjunction with Sumo Salad Health Club Cards, Buy 10 get 1 free salad loyalty cards, Buy 10 get 1 free coffee loyalty cards, Buy 5 get 1 free coffee loyalty cards or Retailer Discount Cards. These cards ceased being accepted in our stores on Monday August 1, 2011.
What if I'm having trouble registering my card?
Here's a few things to check first:
- When entering your follower number (located on the back of your card), you don't need to include any spaces or include the # tag. Simply enter 16 digits consecutively.
- When entering your details, please double check the form for accuracy and ensure your birthday is in the correct format.
What is my username?
Your username is the email address you used to register your card.
What if I've forgotten my password?
If you've forgotten your password you'll need to click on the link on the 'login' page of the Sumo Society section of our website and have it reset.
Who do I contact if I need further assistance?
