Terms & Conditions

  1. By registering as a Sumo Society follower, you consent to the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
  2. To enjoy the benefits of the Sumo Society, you are required to provide us with a valid email address however on completing the registration form, you can select not to receive emails from us. Follower benefits such as (but not limited to) 50% off your next salad for registering voucher and free salads for your birthday will only be issued via email.
  3. For every purchase made within any participating Australian SumoSalad store, you will be awarded 1 (one) Sumo Dollar per $15.00 (AUD) spent in-store in one or multiple transactions unless otherwise specified. Sumo Dollars will not be issued or redeemed at mobile or temporary Sumo Salad stores.
  4. Sumo Dollars are calculated on the total paid amount of the sales transaction and are only valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  5. Unless otherwise required by law or permitted by this agreement, Sumo Dollars are non-refundable and will not be redeemed for cash nor will cash change be given if not all Sumo Dollars are redeemed in one transaction. No interest or any other earnings on funds deposited to a Sumo Society card will accrue, be paid or be credited to you by SumoSalad.
  6. To earn Sumo Dollars, you must first collect a card from any participating Australian SumoSalad store and activate it with a purchase. Sumo Dollars will be transferred onto your Sumo Society card after each transaction at the rate as outlined in point 3.
  7. To redeem Sumo Dollars, you must register your card at www.sumosalad.com/register/ completing all required fields. Within 24hours of registering online you'll be able to start redeeming however you must have a minimum of 2.50 Sumo Dollars.
  8. Sumo Dollars are redeemable for rewards which consist of any food or beverage product within any participating Australian SumoSalad store (subject to availability) at the retail price in-store.
    1. Rewards can be redeemed at a rate of one (1) Sumo Dollar to one AUD ($1 AUD).
    2. Minimum redemption amount is $2.50 AUD
  9. Upon registering your Sumo Society card, you will be rewarded with 50% off your next salad purchase. This discount applies across any size salad in either our fast deli salad or favourite salad range depending on the store location. This offer is valid for 7 days from registration of your card and will be sent out via email to those followers who provide a valid and current email address and select to receive emails from SumoSalad.
  10. All registered Sumo Society followers will receive a free salad on their registered birthday. This is either a medium fast salad or a large favourite salad depending on the store location. This offer will be valid for 7 days after the members registered birthday. The free salad offer will be sent out via email and is only available to those followers who provide a valid email address. No Sumo Dollars can be earned on free giveaways. Only one free birthday salad per year will be issued per follower.
  11. Sumo Salad accepts no responsibility for incorrect information provided by followers on web forms or the like.
  12. Sumo Society cards cannot be used in conjunction with Sumo Salad Health Club Cards, Buy 10 get 1 free salad loyalty cards, Buy 10 get 1 free coffee loyalty cards, Buy 5 get 1 free coffee loyalty cards or Retailer Discount Cards. These cards ceased being accepted in our stores on Monday August 1, 2011.
  13. Sumo Society cards cannot be used in conjunction with discounts offered to Shopping Centre retailers.
  14. Where you wish to use your Sumo Dollars for purchases over $50 (AUD), you must provide the nominated store with 24hours notice to ensure sufficient product is available.
  15. On occasions SumoSalad will run promotions for Sumo Society followers. These promotions will be subject to these terms and conditions, unless otherwise specified.
  16. Only one Sumo Society card and account is permitted per person.
  17. A maximum of 100 Sumo Dollars is permitted on your Sumo Society card.
  18. While every effort will be made in store to ensure points are correctly awarded, SumoSalad takes no responsibility for errors associated with crediting Sumo Dollars onto followers Sumo Society card.
  19. In the case of a lost or stolen card, you should:
    1. Visit any Australian SumoSalad store and request a new card.
    2. Log onto www.sumosalad.com/society using your existing username and password, select the ‘card replacement’ tab and follow the prompts to link your existing Sumo Dollars to your new card.
  20. Every effort will be made to ensure that any Sumo Dollars on the lost or stolen card are transferred to the new card, however SumoSalad will not be held responsible for any Sumo Dollars accrued that are lost in the transfer.
  21. SumoSalad reserves the right to refuse use of a Sumo Society card on suspicion of unauthorised, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful use. Where this occurs, the account and card will be cancelled and any Sumo Dollars will be lost.
  22. SumoSalad staff reserve the right to request photo identification in the form of a valid Driver's License or Proof of Age card to ensure the Sumo Society card belongs to nominated card holder.
  23. No fees are charged by SumoSalad for the issue, registration, activation or use of the Sumo Society loyalty program.
  24. In the event of no internet connection with in any SumoSalad store, you can earn but not redeem Sumo Dollars. To earn Sumo Dollars you must have your receipt stamped and signed by the SumoSalad store manager upon purchase. The signed receipt must be scanned and emailed to sumosociety@sumosalad.com.
  25. nformation collected from members at the time of registering as a Sumo Society followers is subject to SumoSalad's Privacy Policy listed at www.sumosalad.com.
  26. SumoSalad reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by notifying you by email, or by changing the terms and conditions on our website.
